Katsina APC Guber Primary: Ex – SMEDAN boss wins

With total votes of 506, former Director General/Chief Executive Officer of Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda has cleared President Muhammadu Buhari’s home State, Katsina APC governorship primary election.
Dr. Dikko beat eight other contestants including the incumbent Deputy Gov, Manir Yakubu who came fifth with 65 votes and immediate past Secretary to the State Government who came second among others.
Announcing the results at the early hours of Friday, the APC Electoral Committee Chairman, Barr. Lawal Kaka said “based on the power bestow on m by the APC Electoral guidelines, I hereby declare Dr. Dikko Umar Radda winner of the Katsina State APC governorship primary election and is hereby returned as the party’s candidate for the 2023 general elections.”
In his acceptance speech, winner of the election, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda thanked the party officials and delegates for availing him the opportunity and solicited for support.
