Nasarawa: Azara – Adudu road for rehabilitation soon, says Commissioner

Nasarawa State Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Aisha Rufai Ibrahim, says plans have reached advanced stage to commence rehabilitation of Adudu – Azara road.

She stated this at a meeting with youths in Azara where she also enumerated some of the achievements recorded in the area by Governor Abdullahi Sule.

According to the Commissioner, “the road project when completed will ease transportation to urban centres and also boost socio-economic activities and improve revenue base of the state.

Also speaking at the ceremony, the Overseer, Azara Development Area, Alhaji Sadeeq Muhammad, said the donation of 500 KVA transformer and upgrading of Azara primary health care centre to a general hospital would address health challenges and improve the living standard of people in the area.

He also lauded the development progress of Senator Umaru Tanko Almakura, a member of the House of Representatives from the area, Hassan Nalaraba, and Chairman Awe local government council, Usman Umar.

On his part, the Federal Commissioner, Public Complaints Commission, Alhaji Musa Hassan Ubandoma, stressed the need for people of Azara Development Area to continue to support government policies and programmes in order to attract more state and federal projects to the area.
